We are so happy you found “The Nurse Practitioner Place.” This is a place made for NPs by NPs!

 

We are Natalie & Lauren, the two nurse practitioners behind the scenes of “The Nurse Practitioner Place” and “Nurse Practitioners of Instagram.” 

 

These accounts were both created as a place where nurse practitioners can network, learn, and encourage one another.  

 

Our goals for these platforms are to showcase the excellence of our fellow NPs. And WOW it has been so amazing to share everyone's story about their careers in healthcare!

 

Lauren (@np.lauren) created Nurse Practitioners of Instagram in 2020 after noticing lots of other healthcare professions highlighting their careers and roles in medicine, but there was not a strong presence on social media highlighting the vital role of nurse practitioners. So one day she just decided to start the NPs of Instagram account herself! She wanted to create an account to educate the public on what nurse practitioners do when it comes to providing excellent care for patients and to share the variety of career opportunities available for NPs. She is so proud to be a nurse practitioner and wanted a place to celebrate, network, and promote our profession! Lauren loves providing educational resources and information to help make NPs be the best they can be. 

 

Lauren teamed up with Natalie (@natalie_pnp_) in 2024 to run the account together to help grow on social media. Natalie is more tech savvy and loves all things social media and inspiring NPs. Natalie has helped streamline many processes, including featuring NPs using Google Forms and creating this website. Working together has helped the account grow to over 20k followers!

 

In the past 5 years, @NPsOfInsta has featured over 750 awesome NPs and NP students (and a handful of physician associates during PA week because we love our fellow advanced practice providers). 

 

Lauren and Natalie live on opposite sides of the country. Natalie is in California and Lauren is in North Carolina. We haven’t met in person yet but our friendship has grown so much through sharing this experience. We text, audiochat, or video chats daily to share ideas about our company to Instragam to work to motherhood. Our friendship is so very special! 

 

Our goal for The Nurse Practitioner Place is to be a website to help you network, find continuing education, discover new resources, find a job or preceptor…anything and all things nurse practitioner related!
